Suzuki's Thoughts: On my Twitter War With Talib Kweli

So, yesterday, I was on Twitter talking about the Incel movement. As you may know, I am a former Incel who left the movement and I am now dedicated to raising awareness of the dangers it poses.
In the wake of two mass shootings this past weekend, I discussed how to stop young men from falling prey to the seductiveness of the Incel lifestyle and work towards leading them away from extremism.

So I tweeted that, as an ex-Incel, I found that the best thing to do to combat the movement was to reach out to these troubled young men and let them know that the world has not abandoned them, and that they are still valued in society. The Incel movement entraps young men into hatred and extremism by convincing them that the rest of the world hates them, and that, since they will never be accepted by society, the best thing to do is wage war against it.

If we reach out and let these troubled young men know that they have not, in fact, been abandoned by the world, the entire premise of the Incel movement falls apart.

So I tweeted about that:

But, apparently, someone didn't like what I said. Because just minutes later, some dude with a blue checkmark decided to completely miss the point of my message and tweeted this gem:

Now, I'd never heard of Talib Kweli Greene before. To me, it sort of sounds like a brand of crappy fabric softener or a scented candle. So, I decided to do a little digging.

Apparently Mr. Green is some sort of hip-hop rapper. Wikipedia also lists him as an "activist". An activist for what? The Talib Kweli Greene Foundation for the Intellectually Challenged?
It also turns out that Talib a member of the Five Percenter Nation, a black nationalist organization similar to the Nuwaubian cult. Go figure!

And accusing ME of being a misogynistic rape apologist? Someone should ask Talib what he thinks of Dwight York, the leader of the Nuwaubian cult who is currently serving 135 years in prison for molesting thousands of children! I'm willing to bet that, since Talib Kweli Greene is a member of the Five Percenters, he's quite the York apologist! After all, York is still quite popular among the hip-hop community, especially among people like Greene!

It also appears that Talib has a history of antagonizing random people on Twitter and then screaming "racist!" whenever people get mad at him for doing so. Quite petty, if you ask me. This guy needs a hobby besides jabbering nonsense into a microphone while wearing cheap bling.

Anyway, I responded to him and he responded back. It's all on Twitter, and I'm not going to further this guy's inflated ego any further by posting the full exchange.
A whole lot of his supporters also began harassing me and accusing me of being "racist" (of course, these people wouldn't know racism if it bit them on the ass) and a "Nazi incel" (apparently forgetting that I described myself as a FORMER Incel).

I tried to correct them but they seem to be impervious to logic and reasoning. All I can really do is just wait for them to pipe down and get a life, however long that might take.

But this goes to show the proud ignorance that people like Mr. Greene possess. He doesn't understand the first damn thing about extremism. If anything, he is part of the problem. By antagonizing people who fall prey to these movements, Talib Kweli Greene plays right into the hands of extremist groups. He reinforces a troubled young man's belief that the world is against him and further drives him down the path of radicalization.

So, to you, Talib Kweli, I have this to say:
If you really want to combat the rise of extremism, you should, in the words of another famous musical artist, try "starting with the man in the mirror"!
